Dungog is approximatly 80Km NW of Newcastle at the base of the Barrington Tops. It can be reached from the Pacific Highway via Raymond Terrace or from the New England Highway via Maitland. It can also be reached from the North via Singleton from the NW and Stroud on The Bucketts Way from the NE.

Places to Eat
There are many places to eat in Dungog with options to meet all tastes and budgets. Most eateries and takeaways are situated in Dowling St, and all the pubs and clubs have bar snacks and restaurants.

The Royal Hotel, middle of Dowling St
- Fine Pub Grub and Music on Friday and Saturday nights
- Home of 'Pedalfest Pasta at the Pub' on Friday night!
The Bank Hotel, cnr Dowling St and Hooke St
